About the Graduate Admissions Office

The Graduate Admissions Office is one of the divisions of the Graduate School of Xi'an Jiaotong University. It’s mainly in charge of the affairs of enrollment of the postgraduates (Master’s and PhD).

1. Detailed work activities

1) Formulating and reporting the annual plans for enrolling postgraduates (Master’s and PhD);

2) Formulating and revising the annual graduate admission brochure and admission catalog.

3) Formulating the implementation plans for recruiting graduate students in accordance with the related graduate admission policies and regulations of the Ministry of Education of China along with considerations of the actual needs of Xi’an Jiaotong University;

4) Taking charge of the publicity work of graduate admission;

5) Organizing and coordinating the activities of entering for examinations for graduate admission, drafting and printing the entrance examination papers, administering examinations, reading the student test papers, recruiting and assessing the recruiting work;

6) Assessing the qualification of the graduate students on long-term-schooling programs;

7) Compiling the students roll and creating a new student management database.
